Group Rides with the Club

Not every cyclist races, but most of us like to get together with our friends and ride. Claremont Cycle Depot Bike Club holds several scheduled group rides each week so we can do that. Except for inclement weather, you can guarantee that there will be riders at each of these rides. Here’s a brief description, sorted by type and day:

Road Rides

Sunday

For the people who aren't racing on Sundays, there's a group ride that starts from Claremont Cycle Depot. This ride averages 40-50 miles. It's a "friendly" ride with the stronger riders waiting for the slower riders — no one is left behind. It's a great place to work on your group-riding skills. The ride begins at 9:00 am (10:00 am May and September). For further information, contact at (603) 543-0188.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

Off-road Rides

Wednesday

Each Wednesday there’s an off-road ride starting at 5:30 pm from Newport Middle High School, North Main St., Newport, NH. Because the day, time and venue will change to complement the local race schedule, it's best to , as the rides are often scheduled by e-mail. Group rides may include road rides, handicap races/time trials in both road and mountain settings, and excursions to Kingdom Trails. (Email address encoded with JavaScript to help prevent spam.)
