Claremont Cycle Depot Bike Club Race Reimbursement Program
The following criteria must be met for members to participate to receive race reimbursements:
- Club membership dues must be paid for the current year.
- The current Claremont Cycle Depot Bike Club cycling jersey must be worn during the competition.
- Only sponsorship logos for current club sponsors are allowed.
- Events must be sanctioned by a regional or national body.
- Maximum reimbursment per event is equal to the advertised race day entry fee up to $40 max. Multi-day events are eligable for $40/day max.
- The club member must submit a completely filled out a race reimbursement form to the club treasurer by the 5th day following the period during which the competition occurred.
- The club member must make a significant contribution to the planning and/or execution of one or more club-promoted races. If there are extenuating circumstances, which make it impossible for the member to assist in a bike race, the club officers may authorize an alternative means for the club member to fulfill the requirement of service to the club.
Race Reimbursement
The racing season is divided into 5 periods: April-May, June, July, August, September-November. Each Period Claremont Cycle Depot donates $500 for pro-rated reimbursement of racing entry fees to club members who compete in sanctioned racing events. As early as the 6th day following a period, the club treasurer reviews the race reimbursement forms for the previous period and determines the pro-rated amount earned by each racer in the club. If the total of the entry fees for a given period is less than $500, then all racers are reimbursed 100% of their entry fees and the remainder carries for use in the next period when the total of entry fees for that period exceeds $500.
