Sinister mountain bikes

Sinister is a rider-operated company, located in nearby Bellows Falls, Vermont. Tired of buying and breaking frames that just weren’t meant for the type of riding we were doing on the East coast, we decided to build our own frames and put our own ideas to the test. Our goal was to make products with incredible strength and impeccable quality that would stand up to the most demanding terrain.

In May 2002, after a solid first run of frames, we decided to move production closer to home. In the process, we met an industry legend. Frank Wadelton (a.k.a. Frank the Welder) became our welder of choice, and together we forged a new partnership that would move Sinister from the woods of New England to the forefront of the mountain-bike scene. (Frank has recently been inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.)

All Sinister products are the result of countless hours of testing. Whether it’s on the trail, at the skatepark, or on the race course, our commitment and dedication never rests. We use only the finest materials — all tubes are aircraft quality, and all machined components are made from billet stock.
