Sinister mountain bikes

Sinister is a rider-operated company, located in nearby Walpole, NH. Tired of buying and breaking frames that just weren't meant for the type of riding we were doing on the East coast, we decided to build our own frames and put our own ideas to the test. Our goal was to make products with incredible strength and impeccable quality that would stand up to the most demanding terrain.

In May 2002, after a solid first run of frames, we decided to move production closer to home. In the process, we met an industry legend. Frank Wadelton (a.k.a. Frank the Welder) became our welder of choice, and together we forged a new partnership that would move Sinister from the woods of New England to the forefront of the mountain-bike scene. (Frank has recently been inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.)

All Sinister products are the result of countless hours of testing. Whether it's on the trail, at the skatepark, or on the race course, our commitment and dedication never rests. We use only the finest materials — all tubes are aircraft quality, and all machined components are made from billet stock. Sinister Mustang

The Mustang is Sinister's new XC race hard tail. Constructed from 6061 T6 aluminum (no carbon here!), this frame is built tough for years of racing or race training. Engineered for a quality ride and trail feel, the Mustang was designed by Frank the Welder with advice from XC racers.

Sinister Ridge

Named after the legendary Bow Ridge trail in the Lynn Woods, in Massachusetts, the Ridge is the ultimate technical trail bike. Whether you're ripping off of drops, hopping up ledges or climbing through rock gardens, the Ridge is your best weapon of attack. Constructed out of 6061 series aluminum, the Ridge is 100% made in the USA by Frank the Welder and the staff at Sinister Bikes. Frame only.

The Sinister Bikes R9 is bred not to be a mountain bike. It is bred to be a downhill racer pure and simple. Turning effortlessly on the steepest of terrain, the braking bumps and technical sections become areas of advantage. When the world tilts to an unreasonable, seemingly unridable angle, our philosophy becomes clear. We know, we are downhill racers. Frame only.
